XFree messed up

I have a big problem... yesterday, my Xfree got messed up. It happened while browsing the internet using GNome 1.4
It closed all the windows i had opened. Nothing was working anymore. I had to reboot but i got the message (login): INIT: ld"x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes. I tried to wait five minutes but then, the message got printed again. I was assuming that X didn't get started. I logged in normally (console) and typed startx. But I got the following error messages:
xauth: error while loading shared libraries: libXmnn.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
(The same message 3 more times)
xinit: error while loading shared libraries: libXmnn.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
xauth: error while loading shared libraries: libXmnn.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Do I have to reinstall X?

run XF86Setup(semi graphical) or xf86config(all text based) and then take it from there. If the config files got messed up it should rewrite them for you. Just be prepared if you run xf86config it asks a lot of question so you better know your hardware.

I don't exactly know how i fixed it but it is fixed. It is a combination of reinstalling and using the config programs. Well, it's working
Thanks
