XFCE Linux Mint Display problem

I have two monitors, one is 1920x1080 and the other is 1600x900. My second one I would like to be able to rotate it from portrait to landscape freely, but the problem is when I switch settings the visual display moves up and the upper portion gets shoved off the screen while the bottom of the screen is just black. It's just the visual part, all buttons are in their normal place so when I try and click on something my cursor has to be below the visual for the button in order to click the functional button. When I set it to the settings I want rather than what was booted on the graphical error takes place, as soon as I ctrl alt f2 and systemctl restart lightdm, and login the new settings work fine, I just cant switch screen orientation without restarting lightdm.

In a terminal,
Code:
xrandr -o right
will rotate the display 90 degrees to the right,
Code:
xrandr -o left
will rotate it 90 degrees to the left, and
Code:
xrandr -o normal
will return it to normal. If for some unfathomable reason you want the display upside down,
Code:
xrandr -o inverted
will do that.
Code:
man xrandr
