Xen guest domain slow disk access SLES 10

I am trying to install a SLES 10 guest domain on SLES 10 running Dom0.
This is paravirtualized and not full virtualization.

It seems to work ok, but during the install the disk access of the guest domain is incredibly slow. (and my disks underneath it all are 10K SCSI drives) It takes 2 hours to install the first CD.

It seems like a DMA problem, but I have not figured what to do in my boot string of the guest to make this work OK.

I have tried this with CD ROMs as he source and an NFS server. Both give the same slow results.

Any ideas?
