(Xconfigurator) doesn't find server


hi,
i'm a beginner in linux , i have installed redhat 7.0, but when i would to configure my video card usign Xconfigurator , an error apears saying (doesn't find server) every time i selected the driver of my video card.
thanks in advance.

Describe your system or at least your vid card

my vid card is sis320 , when i chose the related driver , i get the error message.

Try select a more basic card to start with. something a generic SVGA card. Get X up and running.

You might also try XF86Setup or xf86config.


Then you can rumage around you install CDs to try and
find you correct "server"
