Question xawtv -- motif error on make

i'm currently building xawtv from source on my linux box. i'm
running slack8 with the 2.4.17 kernel, X ver 4.2, and
have just installed the latest version of openmotif. my
problem is that the libs in the Xm/ directory (openmotif's
lib files) aren't being found by xawtv's make. i've tried to
pass in the directory via ./configure and grep on the Make
files to change where openmotif is found but nothing has
been working, does anyone have any ideas? i was also wonder
if anyone knows can i build xawtv any other way?

thanks

empty

It compiles on my system (same kernel and X), but I don't have the latest openmotif so that might be the problem.
