x11, pm-suspend, and sound

I am using slackware 13, and fluxbox.

When I pm-suspend, and then wake her up, the sound does not come back on.
I have to exit fluxbox and re-do "startx" to get it working again.

How do I get past this, so it will auto work again after waking up?

check if your sound system is suspend safe. for that, ask them; they probably know it. your words does imply that sound system used is not suspend safe (maybe not generally but in your case). what's your desktop environment? and what's your sound card?

fluxbox has no sound system (thanks to God, at least they stopped somewhere). from looks, your system used in x is not suspend safe.

after suspend, try this su -c "/etc/rc.d/rc.alsa restart"
