X windows problem
X windows is working fine but why is it that I can only start it one time with "startx" then after I close X and try starting it again it won't start up? I have to reboot my computer just to get X windows working again. Nope, I don't have any errors.

Can you find anything in either /var/log/messages or /var/log/XFree86.0.log that would give some hint?
What happens after you type startx if you get no errors? |
It goes black and stays black until I kill it with ctrl+alt+bspace. I tried leaving it like that for over 10 min and nothing.

That's weird. Have you tried re-configuring X?

I've reconfigured X forward and backwards and just a few hours ago finally got it the way I want it to be after weeks of problems. I've resorted to using the vesa driver because my actual driver (i810) gives a "(EE) Device Not Found" error when I try using it. Maybe it is because i'm using vesa. I'm not sure.

Well I use the Intel Extreme Graphics (i810) video card with 64MB of memory. It is integrated onto the motherboard. It needs the agpgart driver and an i180 patch which are already installed. So I have no idea what it can be.
