Unforntunately installing the new driver do not correct my original problem of extremly slow GL rendering
|
So, the install went without any flaws, and
if you do (as root)
lsmod
you can see a nvidia module loaded?
Also, after the install, if you look at
/var/log/XFree86.0.log
... what module is it using as a hardware
driver on that machine? E.g.
Code:
(==) Log file: "/var/log/XFree86.0.log", Time: Wed Jan 21 08:10:03 2004
(==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/XF86Config"
(==) ServerLayout "Simple Layout"
(**) |-->Screen "Screen 1" (0)
(**) | |-->Monitor "My Monitor"
(**) | |-->Device "radeon"
(**) |-->Input Device "Mouse1"
(**) |-->Input Device "Keyboard1"
Where mine says Device "radeon", what have
you got?
And, what kind of CPU have you got?
Just so I know what FPS to expect...
Cheers,
Tink
