X Server Error

I am new to Linux (Fedora 8) and am having a problem. Every time I reboot I get the "failed to start the x server" error message. I ran "cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep EE" and here is the result:

(II) Loading extension MIT-SCREEN-SAVER
(EE) intel(0): detecting sil164
(EE) intel(0): Unable to read from DVOI2C_E Slave 112.
(EE) intel(0): Unable to read from DVOI2C_E Slave 236.
(EE) intel(0): ivch: Unable to read register 0x00 from DVOI2C_B:04.
(EE) intel(0): Unable to read from DVOI2C_E Slave 112.
(EE) intel(0): tfp410 not detected got VID FFFFFFFF: from DVOI2C_E Slave 112.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated

Looks like your video card is detected incorrectly? Do you have a video card with the sil164 chip, or do you have the drivers for this? I would try using basic VESA and work from there.
