X keyboard Settings differ form GNOME settings

every time i log into gnome i get the following error

The X system keyboard settings differ from your current GNOME keyboard settings.

Expected was model "generic", layout "us" and no options, but the the following settings were found: model "pc105", layout "gb" and no options.

Which set would you like to use?
options: UseX settings and Keep GNOME settings

the relivant part of my xorg.conf is

Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
    Driver "kbd"
    Option "CoreKeyboard"
    Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
    Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
    Option "XkbLayout" "gb"
my keyboard is a generic GB layout ps2 keyboard
