Wrong time
 

I have already checked my current time zone and it`s the correct one . but i still have the wrong time on the clock . Can i change it manually ? apreciate any help.

Being a mandy fan (the linux distro that is!) I know for a fact the simple way of changing the time is to use the mandrake control center - under system, date and time.

You may want to check your hardware clock (in the bios) is also set to the correct time.

If you have NTP (Network Time Protocol) installed you can use ntpdate to set you date/time from a network time server on the Internet.
ntpdate is best for only occasional use.

The more servers you query with ntpdate the better accuracy you will get. One is usually good enough for me. You can get lists of public ntp servers with a bit of googling.
