wrong moutn for cdrom drive


when using rpmdrake its impossible for me to install anythign because it asks me to place the disk in ./dev/scd0 but i have no scsi drives how do i change this so that it looks for dev/hdc?
i want my cd drive to be mounted as /mnt/cdrom can anyone tell me how to do this?

Well /dev/scd0 is probably a symlink to whatever cdrom drive /dev/hdc is. Look at it with:
ls -l /dev/scd0

This is only because you are likely running DevFS which works well with all of your devices since it's all a bunch of symlinks to the actual device.

If you want it to mount at /mnt/cdrom you should see about editing your /etc/fstab file. If you have questions post this:
ls -l /dev/scd0
ls -l /dev/cdrom
ls -l /dev/hdc
And your /etc/fstab
