Wrong kernel: re-booting does not help

When I try to update my Fedora Linux I get the following message:

Your system is currenlty running kernel-2.6.10-1.766_FC3, but the newest installed kernel is kernel-2.6.11-1.14_FC3. It is recommended that you reboot at the first opportunity to test this new kernel.

Re-booting does not solve the problem. The message persists.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your grub configuration may be mis-set up. What is grub.conf showing?
