Workstation or server


Is there a way to find out the class of installation in
Red Hat Linux . worksatation , server . custom .
Wheris is the inmstallation log stored .

there are 2 files that are actually created by a RH installation:

/root/anaconda-ks.cfg
/root/install.log

install.log just contains information about the packages which have been installed and the anaconda-ks.cfg contains a summary kind of information ... for instance the difference between the server install (if you've chosen choosing individual packets), network stuff and so on!

example part for anaconda-ks.cfg:

...
%packages
@ Network Support
@ Server
...
