I am looking into trying wine. I want to try it to see if it
will run my favorite game: Strat-O-Matic, a baseball sim game. Has anyone
had any success running any window apps at al with this? im not really concerned about wordpad and the like just commercially made games mainly and a few commercial apps as well...
Wine can run Half-life! Not to mention Office 2000. It'll certainly be powerful enough, so aslong as your game isn't really obscure, it should work, might just need a bit of tweaking...
I like WINE. It works fairly good, a bit slow for me, maybe, at running Starcraft. I believe it should probably work for whatever win32 app you need. You may have problems with some appz if the settings need to be tweaked, and might have luck with ppl posting at various WINE forums. See if there is a link to one on the developer's site....
