Hi All,
After following the steps given on the following link for Linux uninstallation, I couldn't boot my PC in Windows XP.
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...uninstall.html
I have removed all the Linux partitions and when I reboot my pc, the following command prompt appears:
grub>
Here's what I did, I tried to follow the first part of the uninstallation which is:
"To uninstall Red Hat Linux from your system, you will need to remove the GRUB or LILO information from your master boot record (MBR).
In DOS, NT, and Windows 95 you can use the Windows fdisk utility to create a new MBR with the undocumented flag /mbr. This will ONLY rewrite the MBR to boot the primary DOS partition. The command should look like the following:
fdisk /mbr "
But, when I executed the command on DOS, I got the following error message:
C:\Documents and Settings\johnsanty>fdisk /mbr
'fdisk' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
So, I just skipped this part and proceeded uninstalling the Linux partitions following the procedure shown on the above link. Could somebody please help me...Thanks in advance...
John
