Windows Emulation Software

Hello, I myself am a newbie to Linux. I had read in an Australian Computer Magazine (apc) about Windows Emulation software. What is it? and where can I find it?

Yours Truly,

You're probably talking about wine. get it at www.winehq.org .
this is a free implementation of the windows API. it allows you to execute windows apps under linux.
once wine is installed, if you want to execute a windows program called abc.exe, just open a terminal and type

wine abc.exe
