windows does not recognize (some) fat32 partitions all of a sudden
I am dual booting, with win 98 and Mandrake 8.1 I have the following partitions (all primary)
1. Win 98 boot (fat32) 4 GB
2. Mandrake 8.1 boot (ext2) 4 GB
3. FAT 32, 30 GB
4. Ext2, 22GB
partitions 1 and 2 were created using partition magic. 3 and 4 were created with using Mandrake cfdisk.
Everything was fine, windows was booting fine, linux was. Windows was able to see the partition #3 (and ofcourse partition #1). One day windows stopped finding partition 3. fdisk in windows reports that it can see only one (#1) fat32 partition and all others are reported as non-dos! However linux still recognizes all the partitions (with correct partition types). In fact I was able to copy data over from partition #3 to partition #1 using linux!
What do I do, how to I get windows to recognize my partition 3?
Thanks in advance
