windowmaker aim off the screen

I'm using a slackware based linux with windowmaker. I installed aim and everything was cool for a while. somehow, my aim buddy list moved way up high on the desktop, as if my monitor were 4 inches taller than it really is. All I can see is the bottom bar and when I try to grab it and move it back down, it just resizes the buddy list window.

Does anyone know why this happened, How can I move it back on my screen and how can I prevent it from happening again?

TIA
-romei

ok, I drug it back down with ctrl+alt and left mouse button on the lower right corner, but I still don't know why it did it in the first place.
