window manager themes...

i notice that blackbox is supposed tobe a very low resource user window manager... but, is there a way to add backgrounds, screensavers, and themes to blackbox?

is there a way that i can change the themes myself and even customize them to my liking??

thanks

check out themes.org

you can customize the themes however you want, you just need to learn how to play around with them.

i doubt that "man blackbox" will give you any helpful info. i honestly have no idea how the themes for that windowmanager work. the way most themes usually work, is that it will be a collection of config files and pixmaps tarred into one file or directory. it's a bit of trial and error and just basically taking stuff apart to figure out how it works. it's also possible that someone wrote a prog somewhere to make it easier.

check out http://blackbox.alug.org and http://bb.themes.org - that should help get you started. just find a file, "tar -xzvf" it, and play around with it.
