win95 partition on linux

I have a file server running Red hat 7.2 with a windows 95 partition on it. I have a DOS POS program on that partition networked to windows desktops. I have occasional file corruption in need of scandisk. My question is how do I run scandisk or equivalent on that disk or partition?

RedHat 7.2 should be able to autodetect which filesystem is on the partition in question, so you could try just unmounting the partition and then fsck /dev/hd?? where hd?? is the partition number... obviously if this is a scsi disk, then you would want fsck /dev/sd?? instead.
