Question win4lin or wine?

At work I am stuck using windoze because one of the proprietary software programs that I have to be able to use, uses the ODBC in windows to know the how to connect to the server with the database that has the data for this program.

Using wine I can get the logon screen of this software to come up but the domain information that would pull from the ODBC when I am running windows is not there?
(I don’t know if that means that I am close to getting it working or not)

Any ideas or should I try something like win4lin and if I do have to go that way, can you setup win4lin to just use an existing windows partition?

Thanx for you ideas!
Casper
