win2000 and suse 9.1

i originaly had windows 2000 installed on an older 20GB drive. i recently updated to a 120GB drive and then made the 20GB a slave. I installed linux on the 120GB. everthing works, except windows

it will not boot. what do i need to put into lilo to correct this problem. linux is on the WD1200 drive windows is on the WD200 drive
the 120GB is master, i see no reason why the windows dirve needs to be master.

i tried to reinstall windows, needed done but windows installation freaks out if you are not installing on master. WTF? is with that, linux never freaked out. nor do i recall win98 freaking out.

if windows will not boot as slave then can i make a win2000 boot disk, NOT a setup disk. a disk that boots the OS, not prepares for install.

sorry but i have only asked this question 5 times! i have found nothing useful on the net. Nor do i have alot of time to spend looking for information about this type of setup. I am trying to get this done with in the next 2 hours. if you have any useful info please help me

My guess is that Windows fails because it is located 118GB past its limit. As far as I know, the only way you're going to be able to work this is either switch the drives back or put Windows at the start of the 120.

I've got one system here at home with win2000 on it. I have the OS on a small HD and everything else is on a WD160GB HD (which also has XP on it). It will play nice as long as the WD is set as slave, otherwise it won't boot either OS.

win2000 isnt installed on the 120GB drive. non of it is. the 120GB drive only has linux.

windows is on the 20GB drive

right now i am just useing windows, until i know how to get it to boot.

things that would help

1. a win2000 boot disk. a disk to boot windows 2000 NOT prepare a setup
2. getting lilo/grub to correctly boot win2000

i want the 20GB drive to remain slave, but if i have to i will make it master.
