Will WebCT work correctly with Linux?

I will soon be taking an online class (UNIX) at a community college and the web interface through which the class is taught is called WebCT. This application is somewhat particular regarding approved browsers and operating systems. Even though Firefox 1.x (not 1.5.x) is "validated" for use with WebCT, Linux is not. (Windows and Mac are the only validated OSs. Older versions of IE, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, and Firefox are the validated browsers.) Has anyone successfully used WebCT with Linux?
