Will converting my disc to dynamic disc in windows.....

Will converting my disc to dynamic disc in windows XP hurt my mandrake 9.2 partition which is on the same drive...just on a different partition of course.

Reason being, i want to add more space to my windows partition and the easiest way to do so would be to convert it to dynamic and just allocate the space. If converting to dynamic will cause any problems... i will just have to use a third party program like partition magic or some shit.

If your going to create a new partition in Windows, I would imagine it can hurt your Linux install as the partition scheme now, your Linux is using particular assigned hard drive letters and such to mount the filesystem.

If your not creating a new partition but just creating more space on its existing partition, it shouldn't affect your Linux install.

ok, there is no partitions to be made here. it's just a basic windows disc already partitioned and such. I am just trying to add some unallocated space on the windows drive which requires me to make it dynamic rather than basic.....

so i should be good to just convert it dynamic disk and add the space on? Just a little worried is all.
