collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
RX bytes:676 (676.0 b) TX bytes:342 (342.0 b)

and here is the resolv.conf file:

generated by /sbin/dhclient-script
search sc.rr.com
nameserver 192.168.0.1

I just installed Linux 9.0...and I am dual booting 9.0 and Win XP. The internet works for XP, but not for linux. Any ideas why?? thanks!

can you get to a site by typing the IP address, ie google 216.239.39.99, in your browser? can you ping a local machine? ping your loopback address?

of so. try changing your search path to 192.168.0.1 as your router should pass dns requests along...

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
