Question Why prompt for changing password?

I used red hat linux advanced server and KDE interface. I login as root and changed the password of a user. It prompts the user to changing password every time when he login. And, he cannot login with the new password that I set for him. I re-set password for other users and no this problem. How can I fix it?

You may have done a typo or had the cap locks on. Also, the account may be locked or something like that. Check in the User Manager.
