why i have /var/crash/2012-03-02-17:32?


Hi
in my production server i have some crash file,i dont know how to see the problem?in addition the server was rebooted at that time.
/var/crash/
3.5G 2012-02-05-18:42
4.2G 2012-03-02-17:32
Linux Version is =oracle enterprise linux64bit-5.4

nano /var/crash/2012-03-02-17:32

then see what info is given and have a look on google. Also check your kernel log etc for anything that looks out of place.

I have never had a kernel crash before so I am very inexperienced with this part of linux especially since I am not a full time linux admin, but anyways. It appears from some documentation that I have seen that you will be requiring the command "crash"

This is not directly applicable to your system and is a bit dated, but may still point you in the right direction.

Searching "oracle enterprise crash dump analysis" also turned up a few items that may be of interest. Not sure which is directly applicable to you, but hopefully it help.

If you have a support contract, now would be the time to get your money's worth I'd say.
