I used to keep my RSS feeds in Firefox, and I never had any trouble. I then found that you can use email clients to keep track of RSS feeds. I thought this would be better. I started with Evolution and found that it worked great for a while, but then most stopped working (there were updates, but Evolution didn't pick them up). If I removed the feed and re-added it, it was fine for a short while. I moved away from Evolution for a few other reasons and I am now using Claws Mail. This has the same issue; everything was fine for a few weeks and now lots have stopped working.

Any idea what's going on? Some example feeds that stop working are:
archlinux.org/feeds/news
feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/technology/rss.xml

One that continues to work is:
cinemassacre.com/feed

Hm, I've always used Mozilla Thunderbird to keep track of email + RSS feeds... Have you tried that?

I know this isn't really a solution per se, but I've never really had any similar problems so can't really guess what might cause the problem. Plus you said Firefox worked, so I feel Thunderbird is likely to work too

Thanks I've actually been trying Thunderbird for a few days now! I'll update in the near future to say if this has worked.
