Why do I get a "can't find trashcan_full image" every time I start ubuntu?

I have Ubuntu installed on my computer and actually I'm an amateur in Linux.

I do not want to have anything on my Desktop except the screen shot.

Now - I don't know what I have done - every time I enter Ubuntu (Gnome) I get an error saying it "can't find the trashcan_full image". I have already searched and there is such image file, but I think a KDE icon.

Can someone give me an idea how to solve it?

Because it is really anoying to get an error like this one every time I enter the OS.

Here is a hunch: Some startup script goes looking for it and cannot find the image file. This can be caused by file and folder permissions, or by the search path being wrong in a configuration file.

First, have you changed anything? Configuration files, permissions, etc.
Second, try posting also on Ubuntuforums--they are pretty active and you might get some hints there.

Thanks a lot!!

I have searched and I found the path to where the file was missing.

I have just typed on the root folder

$sudo find -name trashcan*

and I found the path where Gnome stores its Desktop items!!

Problem solved!!!

image, trash, trashcan
