Unhappy why am getting error when ever after giving user name and passwd in Fedora 3?

Dear friends,
I am a biotech graduate recently using Linux in my Bioinformatics lab. My computer is having both OS WindowsXP and fedora 3. i have installed successfully fedora 3 in my system. But the problem is after giving user name and paaword am getting an error message like this.

"Coudnt not lookup internet address for for dhcppc0.This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly. It may be possible to correct the problem by adding dhcppc0 to the file /etc/hosts"

give me the solution either as reply here or to my eamil id balajisp@gmail.com
eagerly awaiting for your solution
please friends don't disappoint me
thanking you in advance.

Are you able to login as root?
have you enabled network login (or something like "Authenticate system accounts by network services")?

try adding following line to /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 dhcppc0 localhost

Looks like your network configuration has got corrupted, are you able to connect to network in fedora? may be a good idea to configure network from scratch
