whois package
 

I'll try to learn Linux commands and noticed that I'll haven't this "whois" installed to my computer. I found package called "whois-4.6.14-tar.gz" from internet. But where to and how i have to install it?

If you're using Mandrake, rpm's and all, you should use
one of these , really ...

If you're certain that you want to dive in and compile from
source, have a look at this thread
