Which server?

Hello! I'm running Xconfigurator. After I choose 'Unlisted Card' as my video card, I am prompted to choose a server. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, AND WHICH ONE SHOULD I CHOOSE? I'm running Red Hat 6.1. Thanks for help!

by 'server' they are asking for which Xserver module you should use for your xwindows - like 'XF86_VGA16' or 'XF86_SVGA'. See if anything in your /usr/X11/bin folder makes any sense for the video card you are using.

in other terms, the X server is what basically controls and ready's your video hardware so it can put out the fine graphical display on your computer.

choose xf86 svga
choose xf86 svga... and yu should be good to go unless yu want a vga or mono screen --yuck :-0
