which linux?

hi i having problem deciding which linux to use
at home i have suse 9.3 professional suse 10 and redhat 9

i tried and played around with suse 10 live as well and seems quite a nice os but basially i after a good linux that will work with 90% of linux software.

which linux would you say the best to use, basailly i going to run cedega to run my old games, also 90% of the work on do is website design.
so something with apache setup would be ideal.

my hardware is geforce 5700fx
dual amd 64 3700+
soundblaser live! platnium 5.1

2x ide 200 gig drives

2x raid 200 gig drives

dvd/recorder
cdr recorder

what best linux to go with i really needing some advice on this as i not really sure.

thanks

steve

I don't advise SuSE, too unstable, and redhat is no more developing.

I would advise current stable Debian 3 or testing (still much more stable as SuSE).

But packages for debian are usally optimized for 386, so i u wanna more perfomance of your PC, go for Linux Gentoo, it get very popular but I never tried it. I myself will jump next to LFS

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
