Which is better?

Hey, I did help? I'm lookin to install either VMWare or Wine; but I only want one.... no need to have both..

So which would u recommend and why?

It depends what you need it for.

VMWare: commerical, non-free, requires windows install media, excellent reliability for productivity applications

WINE: free, stand alone, unstable, runs bits and pieces all over the place.

... why not try both?

Depends on the applications you want to run. Don't expect good compatibility when WINE runs, but its free, and of course, there' s no harm in trying.

VMWare has good compatibility support, and would be the choice if you want to run serious applications.
