Cool LQ is FAST! (Is Lite 'ok' with http://github.com/adobe/brackets ?)
Just fyi: here's something saying you can run Xfce on Ubu with just apt install xfce4

I'm not sure whether Lite is ok with Brackets. And BTW I already knew that.

You might explore other editors a bit then, even if you might end up with Brackets again. Emacs (no_X11) and Geany have fairly low system requirements and do a lot, especially the former.
