Which Distro for a fwd mail server

hey. we are gonna be throwing together a nix box for mail fowarding. wondering what is a good OS and what not for this.

we have a mailserver that people can get to from the internet right now. we want to put the mailserver inside, and have the nix box put out there... then the nix box will be what ppl on the internet access. the nix is simply for mail fwding.

What type of securities should i look into?

Any distro will serve you well.

I suggest Slackware, for obvious reasons.

what does slackware have to offer that mandrake, suse, and the rest dont?

Would FreeBSD be worth looking into?
