Hi, I consider Linux to be my primary desktop system of choice.
I am currently running Fedora 22 on my main system, but have started trying out Fedora 24 beta on an old laptop that looks promising.
I do use a windows system for some tasks, mainly apps that will not work or do not have an equivalent app in Linux!
I have been running Linux like this for about 3 years now after some earlier attempts many years ago that were not successful...
I hope this helps anyone considering running Linux for the first time....
Some (Adobe, mainly) "specialist" application forms seem to require Windows, as it happened I did use Windows VMs in the past for that purpose. This laptop was sold with Windows 8 (now has Windows 10) and the license is non-transferable so no VMs allowed (any comparable laptop would have cost a lot more with Linux installed).
I see, thanks for claryfying that. I hate the restrictions that come with m$. Also adobe tend to suck often.

I've been running Slackware Linux since 2.2.0.1, and recently built a machine running Linux Mint. Which relegates my Windows 7 box to third place in usage.
Linux is my primary OS.
Distro : OpenSUSE Leap 42.1
Desktop : KDE-Plasma5
Mode : Dual Boot . The secondary is Windows 10 which is the disaster backup . So far I did not had such disasters with Linux .
