where is the config file of gnome-panel to reset it ?

I just would like to reset my gnome-panel to default config, whole stuff; hence where is the config file of gnome-panel to reset it ?
I'll give it a quick rm

Just a guess, but try renaming .gconf or .gconfd to see what happens. (I suspect that .gconfd is the panel setting, but I'm not too confident about that.)

(Perhaps you know this, but others may read it: Use the mv command to rename the directory, e.g., mv .gconfd .gconfd~.)

When guessing, renaming is, perhaps, a better choice than rm -- it gives you a chance to recover if the guess is wrong.
