(all the ""lost"" pics are in pix and not in a file in pictures)

I made 2 screenshots but they wont upload so will send later if needed
Can you please check that the "Full Name" field in the Properties panel on the left-hand side for that photo really says just "SANY0231.JPG" without any path before it. It should say "/home/sam/....".

Yes, a screenshot of that would be great when you can get it uploaded. Thanks.

Here are the two screen shots;it appears that the pics are going to the Pix app under catalog rather than going to the pictures file

As I mentioned before, I reckon Pix's catalog is just a database. The actual photo of the piano is in your Pictures folder, as you can see in the left-hand image in the "Full Name" field (although the full location doesn't show in your screenshot).

The last time I asked you to right click on the Full Name field and use Copy to copy the location of the photo and paste it here, you did so with the Name field above it, not the Full Name field. Can you please do this again, but this time with the Full Name field.

Or, expand the left pane until you can read the whole of the Full Name field and write the contents of that field here.

Thanks.

I was uploading pics to ebay today so I thought I will just do it from the pix app;but I couldn't drag n drop pics from the pix app into the photo field on ebay;so I copied all the pics manually from the pix app into the pictures folder then they were able to drag n drop

If you would like to resolve the problem we have been working on, and find out where in your Pictures folder your uploaded photos are being placed (and thus avoid having to do what you did here), please do what I suggested in post #18. Many thanks.
