where do i find my bookmarks?

whats going on is that i am going to reinstall linux (ydl 6) just to have a fresh start since i learned a lot of things since i first started messing around with it. but what i want to know is i have firefox 3 or that latest version im not sure what it is, but i have all my favorites or "bookmarks" saved and i dont want to lose them, i was wondering where i find them so that i can save them? like in what folder?so that when i reinstall it ill still be able to have them. in windows i would be about to find them but im still learning linux.

thanks

Bookmarks > Organize > Import and Backup > Export HTML and save to a safe location; then Import HTML to your new system.

Install Foxmarks Bookmarks add-on and it'll synchronize all your browsers everywhere...
