Where can I find this library 'libstdc++.so.5' for fordea 4?


Hi,

I am trying to run firefox 1.5.0.1 on Fedora 4. But I get this error message. Can you please tell me Where can I find this library 'libstdc++.so.5' for fordea 4?

[scheung@localhost firefox]$ ./firefox
./firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

On my pc, this is the RPM I have installed:
[mirandam@charon ~]$ rpm -q --whatprovides libstdc++.so.5
compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4

that works if you have it installed. If not try a resource like rpmseek.com It gave the following for Fedora:

# Name Qty. Summary
1. compat-libstdc++-33 10 Compatibility standard C++ libraries
2. compat-libstdc++ 2 Standard C++ libraries for Red Hat Linux 6.2 backwards compatibility.
3. libstdc++ 8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3.
