Although Linux is probably the most versatile and stable operating system available today, it still contains many holes in terms of user-friendliness.

This thread has been started in an effort to compile a complete list of issues, features, and functions that impact or improve the user-friendliness of Linux.

We have all come across annoyances with Linux and wished for a solution to make the operating system easier and less tedious. Listing annoyances, ideas, or solutions here will give developers an easier time with creating new features and improving existing functionality. They may be general issues or specific distribution issues.

I do not think so. I've always got what I expected and I completely agree with author of this article. If you think newbies have to teach developers - talk for yourself.

As per post~2 of this thread, we have lots and lots of these threads. So I am closing this one.
