What to do for CentOS?

Hello, I have recently installed Ubuntu 10.10 Server edition and I have decided that I would like to install CentOS and give that a try. I was wondering if there were an guides to setting up a LAMP server without ISPConfig for CentOS? I have found this guide on here; http://www.howtoforge.com/centos-5.1...-ftp-ispconfig. This is what I am planning on doing with my server. I want to create a LAMP server so I can host a website from my house. Just one site, so I feel that I do not need ISPConfig. If you guys have different opinions please let me know. I also want to set up webmail so I can create users email accounts through squirrelmail. I will also be running the HLDS for a Team Fortress 2 Dedicated server, but I know how to do this. Also I would like to set up a DNS, if it is possible, so I don't have GoDaddy forwarding people to my IP address when they type in my domain they type. So basically all I am looking for are guides on how to install CentOS and configure it so it is a LAMP server with Email support without installing ISPConfig and unneeded software. How to set up Virtual users and domains for Squirrelmail using Dovecot possibly in stead of Courier (like this guide for Ubuntu http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-us...l-ubuntu-10.10, but using Dovecot). And a guide on how to set up a DNS on my server so I don't have to just forward people all the time.

-Thank You

Hi,

Documentation is available at redhat internet site. Also there is a centos wiki you should have been consulted.

I suspect that you need to do a fair bit of reading on DNS; try this, but you may also want to read the first few chapters of 'DNS and Bind' or some other book covering the basics.

For the rest of your post, it is really rather difficult to read, and it would be easier if you split out the distinct points so they were not all muddled together, and use either paragraphs or bullet points to add a bit of space.
