What this command do? lilo -v -v -v && lilo

lilo -v -v -v && lilo

I saw someone type this during a demonstration.
I know -v makes it more verbose, but why he type it 3 times and what does "&& lilo" command do?

from the lilo manual (do a man lilo to see the whole thing):

Quote:
Giving one to five -v options will make lilo more verbose, or use, -v n (n=1..5) to set verbosity level 'n'.
in other words, a "lilo -v -v -v" would be the same as a "lilo -v 3"... and you'd still be able to take the verbosity up a couple notches if you wanted...

the "&& lilo" makes lilo run again (this time without verbosity) as soon as the first lilo command is done ... and yes, it's seems kinda pointless, perhaps the guy that did it had some kinda special/weird reason for running it twice or something... i don't know...

=)
