What terminal emulator to use?

Hi,
I'm currently using xterm, but it doesn't seem to support neither color nor transparency. I know that rxvt is clean and slim, and xterm is very bloated. What i would like to know is: does rxvt supports colors and transparencies? And eterm? And xterm?

For someone that wants the fastest, unbloated thing possible with color and transparency support, what would be the best choise?

Thanks.

eterm for you probably. xterm never seemed bloated to me, but thats your choice. and yes, it supports colors, and with the xorg extentions, most of everything supports transparency. but right out of the box, eterm is your best choice.

aterm is much slimmer than Eterm, and easier to configure.

A newb question. Are these different terminal programs installed with an initial installation or do you need to download them? Also what are the commands to bring up the different terminals? I am currently using Slackware 10.0 and am also looking for a different terminal to use. Thanks for any help.

ive tried a few and im more than pleased with aterm; small, efficient, transparent :)
