What software to do Video Capture

I am hoping to be able to capture (and edit) video.

I have Fedora Core 4 on a machine with AMD Sempron 2600+ and 512MB RAM.

I have an analog camera and Capture Card (Brooktree Corporation Bt878 is reported by the system).

I have seen lots of software to be able to edit - but I am confused about Capture.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you can read (or translate) French, this is a very valuable URL: (Linux section)
