What "kernel opts" allow PC to power down with "turning energy off"?
What "kernel opts" allow PC to power down with "turning energy off"?
Yes, yes, I know that's an easy q. And in previous times it worked for me. But not now. I select the next APM functions: "Enable PM at boot time" and "Use real mode APM BIOS call to power off". And do not select "ACPI". So what am I doing wrong? (If I'm right, I tried to use them both as built-in funcs, and as modules... I may mistake) Thanks. |
The problem was solved this way: I removed "linux-2.6.7" sources and unpacked them again from 2nd Slack CD. Recompiled kernel and all works fine... Interesting thing...
