Question what is core in my home directory?

As per subject, this file has the icon of a little yellow bomb and is called core, when opened it runs bug buddy.

delete it
whenever ur program crush, there will be like this. delete it.

core dumps are files created when a program crashes - the output can be very helpful in tracking down a bug if you know what you're looking for. bug-buddy is a program that helps facilitate debugging. if you're not a programmer tho, you don't really need to worry about it.

As isajera said, if you aren't into programming/debugging then the files will be of no use to you, and they can be safely deleted. If you don't want core files generated in the first place, (thus saving you the trouble of occassianally hunting them down and removing them) you can inhibit them with the ulimit command. Here is a link on that if you're interested.
