what else should I do with my linuxbox?


so far I'm using it as web server(apache), email server(qmail), file server(samba), ftp server(vsftpd), and irc server(unrealircd).
Any other ideas?

Make it a Napster mirror

-Um.....make it a Nessus scanning tool.

-How about loading VMware on it and putting Windows Server on it

-Let people use it as a shell box like www.rootshell.be

Seure it and try to break into it, and then try to look at yourself in your own logs. It's fun.

You can setup:

1. VPN
2. TightVNC
3. pop3/imap4 with webmail
4. network monitoring system like Nagios (it's awesome!)
5. iptables, tripwire for security.

Those are just examples.

firewall/router.. already have a wireless-router so no need.. folding? whats that?

1. vpn.. good idea
2. already running vnc
3. already done, qmail with courrier
4. will try good idea

this should keep me busy during my winter break
